She gets annoyed with articles about them wearing scarves (maybe that was in the USA?) The snoods were to protect their heads (she had beautiful long auburn ringlets)and remembers a colleague who was scalped by a machine because her hair got caught and she wasn't wearing one. A lifelong fashionista, she was otherwise not interested in wearing a snood! And is that Bette Davis in Now Voyager?
